Finally pushed my site to production

Posted 21 April 2020 - 09:18 AM

It's taken ages to nail it down, but I finally got my company's website up and running. It's purely, simply a blog to post stuff to at the moment. That should be reflected in it's design - single column, blog posts only, links to external social media. That's about it.

I'm posting it here to get design criticism, as well as feedback on responsiveness, image load times, etc.

Thanks in advance!

It's simple for sure.

'An' needs to be capitalized.

May want a copyright with autofill in year at the footer.

.gg is an interesting choice.

For as simple as that background is you could optimize the image to be less than 634kb. Same with the logo.

You also may want to sort the blog posts newest first/top.

Haha, I want to expand it but there's some other projects I'm sunk in first.

Eh, stylistic choice. May do it.

Is the year really important? I've seen enough big sites forgo a year - and in some cases use only a copyright symbol - that I figured it was old hat.

Well, for a 4-letter domain name plus the fact gg is becoming a more mainstream TLD, I figured it was a good investment - almost all other non-conventional TLDs for surf are now considered Premium and are selling for hundreds-to-thousands.

I needed to still look at the background, thanks for reminding me. Optimizing the logo header is a little more difficult right at this moment due to the colors in the gradient, but I'll see what I can do.

Meant to do that before production and missed it, rip

The year's typically important, and minimal effort.
