Dream In Code Concept

Posted 28 April 2020 - 10:29 AM

Working on a custom piece of forum software, going to use it for my personal forums/practice, and thought I could brandish a bit of flair for DIC. This is just a static concept piece, but might be interesting.

Missing the obligatory orange, but it reads more like a blog and less a forum. Probably all the excessive white space, which I would attribute to articles in a blog and not condensed topics in a forum.

I would be a little concerned about the 'post a topic' button being where the clickable search button would be.

Also missing the breadcrumbs to know what forum, or sub forum, one is in.

Missing key identifier information like number of replies, etc.

Good for a blog, for sure.

I did initially try for an orange, but orange is a tough color to fit in naturally imo. I'm 100% no designer, but I've always worked orange in at best as an accent... Maybe could use it for most buttons/calls to action.

I also would probably drain the blue out of the grays used, so maybe Orange will fit In a lot nicer.

I'll get a lot of those little details thrown in there and mess with the whitespace a bit.
