What should I study for this IT Interview?

I have an interview this friday for an IT support technician and i noticed the person that is going to be interviewing me is the network administrator for the company. What vocabulary should i study?

Im assuming terms like dns dhcp what else?

I don't believe in cramming for interviews. Don't try to drop in terminology to sound like you know what you're doing, just go in and talk to the nice people.

But it is worth cramming to learn more about the company you are interviewing with. It'll let you ask better questions when the interview rolls around to the interviewer asking: "Do you have any questions for me about the position or the company?"

I think it a v. bad idea to try and cram some terminology. You will remain unfamiliar with the terms (you don't use them) and someone could easily ask you "so what do you think about XYZ?"

Just learn about the company and the position. Build questions on that -- but works best is listening to them and what they say and building off of that for your questions.


Also saying bigger words dont make you sound smarter so stick with what you know
