Need To Access Data From System Restore Point Query

Posted 17 October 2020 - 11:58 AM

Hi there,

I have a System Restore Point File, from my Laptop, which I wan't to open on my other main Computer, I copied it from my Laptops System Volume Information Folder, to my Main Computers, System Volume Information Folder, on the C:\ Drive.

However when I use the Programs ShadowExplorer or System Restore Explorer, the System Restore point isn't shown to open ? I know I can't restore the Main Computer, with the System Restore point, if I wanted to, as it is from another Computer, but is it possible to, and how would I do it ? To open the contents of the System Restore File, to access the Folders and Files Data ? Which you can do with ShadowExplorer, if the System Restore Point File is recognized and mounted.

Any help and info would be much appreciated.

Best Regards

Eddie Winch
