Do you have the ntfs kernel modules loaded?
/sbin/lsmod | egrep ntfs

I ran that throught the Terminal, and it did not display any errors, it just continued. I'm assuming that means it is mounted.?

That means you don't have the ntfs module loaded, which means you can't read NTFS formatted drives.

You need to be trying to chroot into your Ubuntu install, not your Windows install.

If you want to, you can. The fact that the LiveCD isn't loading the NTFS module shouldn't worry you. It can be loaded manually.

What partition are you trying to chroot into?

The second harddrive, partition number 5.

The reason I want to re-install Ubuntu is just because I think it may fix the problem, I don't have anything really set up in ubuntu, but I do need the computer (XP) plus, I am just getting tired of trying to fix it. I may re-install it, if it doesn't work, I let you know.

Thank You

OK, I'm glad you got that fixed, but just fyi, the partition number between fdisk(and gparted) and grub is different. fdisk/parted start at 1 while grub starts at 0. So partition 5 on the second hard disk, /dev/sdd5 would be (hd1,4) to grub.

Well, the way things go, that might just have been the problem, a simple thing that we didn't realize. Let me check, yeh, partition 5 in GRUB would then be an NTFS drive, oh well... lol! :)

And actually, I'm kinda glad I did re-install it, now I was able to import my user accounts from XP, last time they didn't show up!

Thanks!
