one account wouldn't be insured by the FDIC because of how much money dic is raking in... so he has to spread it around...

the burden of wealth my friend.

Understandable, but I wasn't referring to his business account. I was referring to his personal account.

LOL.

The mortgage I got requires that my second (the smaller loan) be paid out of an account with their bank which has direct deposit in it. Keeps the interest rate low.

So you got the 80/20 loan. That was not the case with my second. I guess it just depends on the lender. Or else it is a new stipulation due to the foreclosures since the market has been in turmoil due to the number of homeowners defaulting on their loans.

Of course, I just refinanced last year to remove the second. So now I only have one payment to make a month. :bananaman:

I also use credit cards for every transaction that is possible. I get reward points on HSBC card.

For bill payments I use Standard Chartered card which gives me 5% off.

Rest of all salary goes to share market :)

I just let my wife take care of it and she gives me an allowance as I tend to spend to much money on computer stuff and tools.

I use Bank of America for most things. I have a savings, a checking (debit card++), one credit card, a stock trading account, and my mortgage. they have an awesome website that i use for everything (bill pay, transfers, etc).

currently in the process of rolling my 401k over to whoever my new employer uses. hopefully it's good cause the firm my old company used was fucking awful.

i pretty much only use cash when i go out so that i budget myself before i lose track of what i am doing.

I cycle through 3 Credit Cards & pay on them regulary to keep my credit good and revolving (try to keep zero balances, but that doesn't always work out as planned). I have a checking and savings. Savings I try to keep a comfotable buffer in case I ever need in there. All of my bills are paid through Bill Pay using my bank, including the CC's and Utilities. I can pay every bill in less than 2 minutes using bill pay.

I rarely ever carry cash, and honestly I miss it. I hate using my Debit/Check card for a 1.54 coffee at BP.
