I was just messin' with ya. I've never seen that before... ever. Looks like the resolution may be off.

try hitting the screen hard with your hand. Sometimes colours go wayard and you need to replace your screen. Be fast. It may blow up. Throw your machine away.

If you're using Virtual PC, yeah, I've had that problem before.

It was a lot happier when I switched to VMWare.

There is a way to get it to work, but I couldn't be bothered.

Also, it's because Virtual PC only supports 16/32 bit colour, and the default for Ubuntu it 24 bit.

So if you install it in safe graphics mode, then edit the config to make it 16 or 32 it might work.

* I wrote text mode, but Ubuntu install doesn't have that!

You'll also find (if you're using Ubuntu 7.xx) that the mouse probably won't work. That can be fixed too.

OKay then trying VMWare and see if I have any better luck. But VMWare sure eats up a lot of system resources (so far anyways)

@Nayana: While this is installing, how hard is it to setup my wireless connection in Ubuntu? In PCLinux it was easy as pie

I seen that screen to when setting up my Dual Boot initially, it disappeared and never came back.

Psycho - The wireless is pretty much seamless, unless you are using broadcom 43xx. Then you will have some minor tweaking to do. Ubuntu forums were very helpful I found.

QEMU doesn't support DVDs, at least not on Macs.
