Hey hey hey,
I am really fucking bored and have a bunch of LED's sitting around, and some glass ....
So I'm going to make something.
But I've only ever connected led's to some cheap-o batteries that maybe last a week.
How do i tie them into a power source so i can flick them on and off.
Tell me the answer now.

If your really that bored, go buy a LM555 IC, a variable resistor, and a circut board. Hook them up with your LEDs (be sure to read the directions!) and watch them blink (use the variable resistor to change the blinking speed)!
Oh yeah, you should probably buy a couple of them, the first 2 or so usually get burned up because something is wired wrong!!!!
And if you don't want to use batteries, just go buy a good transformer.
That will keep you busy for a few hours!!
I know... I used to build circut boards for a hobby, until I started programming!

This probably is not useful, but go buy a breadbord and a simple switch and you can do whatever you want with it...

You probably don't even need to buy a power supply. You must have one lying around somewhere, like from an old 486, or inside some electric device you have no use for anymore.

have you seen this borg thingy?
Borg led matrix
If you need examples of how to control leds, Nuts and Volts has great projects to learn from.
Or you could just buy a relay control board thats pre made.

Is that Borg thing something you assemble yourself, or is one of those boring pre-built things?
