Does my website look cheap with the news text jyst looks like its plonked there also i think i am going to have just my forum as my homepage thats it as the website is hard to maintain it , as i need a GFX page. etc

are most websites based around forums like this 1 and how do i embed a forum lik eon this website?

The page was displaying off centered when I opened it up. Half of the site was visible forcing me to scroll right.

One thing you can do if you dont want the hassles of building a index page that requires lots of updates is to look at CMS like Joomla or even build a static page that links to the forum. If your site is solely going to be a forum driven site then you don't need an elaborate index page.

I would second Joomla for this sort of thing. I you're trying to mimic a website with those little screen widgets of members on and latest news and all the rest, such sites almost certainly use some kind of CMS.

Never heard of that one. I clicked around it for few minutes. You can too, try this site.

It's simpler than the biggies, Joomla, Drupal PHPNuke, etc. It really depends on the toys you need. For myself, I like the simple ones and would seriously consider this one. For others, after the large ones are set up, they'll do all you need.
