Java on Linux to communicate with Windows via DCOM

Posted 27 February 2008 - 03:16 PM

Does anyone here have any experience with implementing Java apps for Linux that communicate with COM objects on a networked Windows host using DCOM? Can it be done without the use of a commercial DCOM library? And what are the limitations? Any code samples available?

I'm not a Java programmer (yet), so be gentle. :)
