Dream-studios.com

Alrighty, I know it's rare that I ask you folks for a site check, but I need one: http://www.dream-studios.com/index.php

Focus on the content and wording as well as the design. All feedback appreciated!

I'm true to my name so...PUT A DOCTYPE IN YOUR HTML FILES.

Okay, instead of putting Design > portfolio, quote Programming> portfolio, quote etc. Why don't you combine that and make it "services", "portfolio", and eliminate a quote page on the nav. Link to the appropriate quote page from the corresponding service page. I doubt that a potential client would like to ask for a quote before seeing what you do.

It's a little too plain for my tastes, though :)

yeh, it's definitley very cold and corporate... I honestly didn't put much time into the design, just wanted to get something up to represent my new company.

DOCTYPE's it is... will get them up shortly

Yeah, for corporate sites I'm liking the "use the whole screen" idea rather than the paged layout. The paged layout makes you seem like a small company. You may be a small company but you can still have a large and proffessional feel. I like http://www.yashi.de/ except that it is all flash and rather chaotic. The flash navigation is, however, very appealing.

Well, considering when that design was done, in the contest fine print it clearly stated that all designs remained property of dream.in.code which, since it is now dream-studios... I was able to use it in my portfolio. In fact, after I dig up the other contestants, those designs will also be used in my portfolio.

Just how it works :)

Riceraver is allowed to use dream.in.code in his portfolio if I recall correctly... Course I could change that rule since he was only a moderator.

no offence , but let me get this stright

Beucase of one of your legal technicalitys , your going to take work that someone else made , and put it in your port. to imply that dream studios made it ? not only is that not vary cool , but i beleave it wouldnt look vary good becuase it says made by james near the bottom of the serine machine layout he made . but whatever floats your boat :alien:
