City Skylines

Posted 04 March 2008 - 02:15 PM

Sometimes when I need inspiration I look at images of city skylines. Architecture has always intrigued me and what better building blocks to look towards then city-scapes when planning a web project.

So of all the beautiful city skylines which one(s) do you like best.

My top 5 would have to be:
(1) - New York
(2) - Chicago
(3) - Hong Kong
(4) - Seattle
(5) - Atlanta

Seattle is incredible when it comes to skylines, especially with the sunset behind the Space Needle

My top two choices are Seattle and of course my new home here in Vancouver (after all the construction finishes). Psycho is right though, Seattle does have a wicked skyline and being that it a relatively newer city than perhaps some back east, it has some great new and innovative buildings. :)

NYC has the best by far. In Cleveland there is a factory with fire shooting out of a chimney like structure. The city isn't all that great. Akron is (in my opinion) a nice site driving home in the morning, when it's still dark enough to be all lit up.

I like the bottom one PsychoCoder.

Cleveland looks good at night if you have the right angle same goes with Columbus.

And this one, on the Eureka Tower. Seriously, that building was designed to kill Vertiphobes. Read up about it.
