Okay i am at my grandads and he does not have the internet so i decided to go on my laptop and do some programming.

When i logon i get a message saying "Wireless networks detected" so i looked and theres a Connection called "Phillips" I looked once then looked again to believe it he didnt have a WEP or a WPA key on.

So i decided to connect thats why im messaging you guys

Are there any ways to send messages over a network so i can tell them to put a WEP on and how to do it/

Any ideas on how i could help them as i cant exactly know where they live.

If i was a hacker i could have there files right about now but id rather help them than search in google " hacking over a wireless connection" or whatever.

Any i can do to help them?

If they're using Windows, you could probably get away with using "netsend".

I haven't done it in awhile, but netsend * "Your message goes here." should work.

I would reboot my neighbor's router whenever his Internet was going slow. Personally, I just don't bother with telling them. My personal network is WPA-PSK secured, and all the networks around me are either unsecured or WEP-secured. So I'm not worried.

I wouldn't call them retarded until you know who's internet it is, maybe its a old couple who don't know any better
