Dear </dream.in.code> staff,
I am posting here in request of a new forum in the tutorials section, with the sole purpose of catering support for the other languages without their own place, much like the Other Languages section in the Code Snippets.
Often I just hop from one language to another, incrementing my knowledge but in my travels I'd like to be able to help others out. Unfourtunately the languages I am learning are relatively new, and a Other Languages forum would be an ideal place to store such tutorials.
I plan on making an OOXML tutorial (Microsoft's new *.docx format), there are somethings you can't categorise well, as they are combinations of several languages such as Firefox Extensions, Silverlight Applications, Windows Sidebar, etc.
I do recognise this could be easily represented in a blog, its just I'd like to contribute to the tutorials section over contributing to myself, I feel its more fun this way.
Thanks for your time,
RodgerB.

My understanding is that for now we will be placing those in the Software Development section. However it can be very hard to get tutorials in other languages approved as they really have to be pretty interesting. I don't know if a tutorial on Brainfuck would make the cut.
I see however that you are already making good use of your Blog (which is one of the places you can always publish your tutorials).
I think Skyhawk really will want to see an interest in the new area before creating one. Took us forever to get the "Software Development" section, and it has 2 things in it so far...
I think anything dealing with file formats can safely go into Software Development.

Thank you for your reply NickDMax. Brainfuck belongs to the category 'esoteric', meaning as a proof of concept or a joke, so I understand why it wouldn't deserve a tutorial.
Another question that isn't really worth creating a new topic over, and I know you have listed a couple of things... what topics is most suitable for the Software Development forum?
All I know at the moment it allows tutorials of:

Well, I would like to see some tutorials on some of the "related technologies" that we all have to deal with: XML, CORBA, etc.
Descriptions of things like TCP/IP.
More theoretic approaches to topics that may not exactly be language specific such as mathematics/cryptography/networking/AI etc.
Some database topics would be nice. Data Modeling.
Use of UML
Point is, there are lots of topics which are not languages specific and that we all have to deal with. This Tutorials section has great potential, but so far as seen limited use.
Perhaps I will put together a suggested topics post like I did in the C++ forum.
