I'm all for it.

The only reason people haven't been used for parts before is because of emotional attachment: You can't pull a SS number out of a hat and force him to be a donor if so-and-so wants a new liver.

If you have a 'being' that has human parts, but no major brain functionality, no one is emotionaly attached to it, and it has no emotion. It's contribution could save a life that would have otherwise died.

If it's about morals: Your not killing something, your saving a life.

If it's about identity: The genetics used would be optimized, and not resemble the identity of anyone else. They would be their own identity.


The possibilities of organ donor bodies is a good one, and the more intensive study of human genetics and the power of tweaking will be accelerated.

I can't see any cons if it's done correctly.
