I was running MS Office 2007 on Vista Business with no problems. That system crashed a few days ago and I setup a brand new system also running Vista Business. I installed Office 2007 on it and had a problem where it came up with a configuring outlook mesage over and over one right after the other several times. I uninstalled (EVERYTHING) and then re-installed a fresh Office XP. I still got those messages but it at least let me get into it. After the first reboot however I keep getting this stopped working message everytime I launch it and it just closes.
It does launch in safe mode but still tries to run config again.
I haven't installed anything new since the office installation, I've shutdown all processes I feel comfortable won't crash the system and stopped all services I could as well.

Is it a cracked DVD thus leading to missing files or is it a genuine DVD?

It sounds like you got a bad install (More then likely you downloaded from a torrent? ).
If that is the case you probably got a bugged version were someone went in a put a viruses or bug into the install. Suggest you reinstall your OS again, get another copy of office 07 and reinstall office. Thats really all you can do because if the office install is bugged and not legit nothings going to help expect replacing all the install files.
