Changing Screen Res. In Linux

how do i change the screen res. in Linux ? when i loaded it it set it to 1280X1024 , and i want it at 1600X1200 .

Use DrakConf.... Then select Change Screen Resolution....

There are other ways, but in Mandrake, this is the most simple way I have come across.
