Time Warner Cable

I have a "package" that includes phone, cable, and internet so ~140 ish monthly.

Official word is "up to" 15 Mpbs down and 2 Mbps up. I was truly surprised it was that close to what they "say" it is. :)

Please could we use a standard format for the speeds
kbps or kb/s => kilobits per a second
KBps or KB/s => kilobytes per a seconds
MBps or MB/s => Megabytes per a seconds
Mbps or Mb/s => Megabits per a seconds

First, 40Mb/s isnt all that great of a speed. Right now on a weak signal (meaning 1-2 of 5 bars) I am getting speeds of 13Mb/s, and I have one of the lower tiers of service from my ISP. secondly, just because your download speed is, lets just say for example, a 75Mb/s connection, you would not be getting six figures in a download.I highly doubt that if you were downloading something from DIC, which I know has a nice and expensive set up, you wouldnt get anywhere near 5 digits. 6 digits would mean you were using 100% of your 125Mb/s connection. I highly doubt that any server would allow a connection of that size to go through unless you were directly hooked into it with a fiber channel.

To continue the ding dong

It is a fiber connection, my I.S.P. currently offers 20MB/s but 50MB/s and 100MB/s are coming on stream soon.
Is it possible that for the 6-digit download, I just got lucky and nobody else in the street/town was using it at that time?

Sorry about the double post
