Change Your Windows Xp Product Licensing Key

Posted 23 September 2002 - 10:29 AM

:(!): Now don't lose your cool... Or get all hyped, however you may look at it, this isn't some crack. :(!):
"Windows XP-based computers that use a leaked product key that is known to be available to the general public may not be able to install SP1 or automatically obtain updates from the Windows Update Web site."
I know some of you have heard of this, right? ;)

So, as Vet so kindly pointed out in an earlier thread, you'll get the message "the product key used to install Windows is invalid." ... That is if your the type to do such evil things.

Well MS has kindly shown how to repalce that product key with a more legit one... Of course you'll have to come up with cashola for a proper key. :)

Or you could just kill windows XP because none of the 5 legit keys you have work and microsoft tech support is sub-par, and go back to windows 2000. That is what I had to do, and I'm still waiting for microsoft to clear out my information from their servers so that I can use the keys again (windows xp doesn't take kindly to switching computers frequently).

Oh well I won't blame microsoft I'll blame the gaming industry for not making more linux games, myself for not wanting to install linux and wine, and MACintosh for charging ungodly ammounts for their computers (I want one but I'm too poor).

Cheers Sam :)
