Help with CSS in Firefox and IE

Does anyone know why if i develop a css file and a layout why the layout is all messed up in internet explore and in firfox it looks 100% good quality?

eg
.contentheaderlogin { background-color: #CCCCCC;

padding: 2px;

color: #000000;

font-weight: bold;

font-size: 14px; }

.contentcontent {

border: 0px solid: #FFFFFF;

padding: 0px;

color: #000000;

font-size: 15px; }


this code will show up totally messed up in IE but fine in mozzila!

Pleae does anyone have an answer to this.

Its messed up because each browser handles things differently.

You have to do something one way for IE and then do it another way in FireFox to get them to show up the same in both browsers. There are lots of articles and information on the internet about this.

Well, with no HTML to go with that CSS, it shows up just fine... nothing.

Perhaps you can share all of your code so that way we can see what you are trying to accomplish and give you a better idea of how to do so in IE.
