My Fan Art

Posted 24 June 2008 - 06:49 PM

Hi everyone, I have done some fan art for halo, COD, and Splinter cell and I was wondering if you all could check out some of my work, and give me some feedback or critiques.

you want to sharpen the renders you use so it's easier to focus the eyes on them. Also, move them about a third of the banner length to the left or right just so they aren't on the edge of the picture.

Try to make the text a bit smaller; it's distracting (unless the text was the focus).

don't use effects that cover your render's face.

Borders are your friend. usually 1px and black.

Also try to get multiple images working together. YOu may want the render to be he focus, but adding a background from a different image isn't a bad thing.

Maybe try to get your text to blend in with the image somewhat, and if you place the text over a portion of your image (instead of off to the side where there is nothing) you won't have to worry about people ripping (copying and just changing the name) your work(At least it makes it harder for them to).

Depending on the border area, if you don't want on it isn't required, but generally amkes the work look more complete. You may choose to make the image a .png instead and have it fade to transparent so it can work on whatever background color/image is provided on a site.

Cool, I like. If you put the render above all the other layers on the second design, it would be better.
