Can you send me a link to the deleted snippet. Every snippet has a log that tracks every action taken on the snippet, who did it, and what the message was.

You won't always receive a message telling you why they weren't approved~ before I was a moderator, I wasn't getting anything to let me know about quite a few of them.
I personally like to send a message with each one, explaining why I didn't approve it, but I don't know about the rest of the team.
I'll get something set up, and I'll now put my hands up and say I'm willing to test your Ruby snippets. I might not understand it, but I'm pretty sure I'm capable of setting up a compiler, and I can understand the I/O of the actual program itself.

Everyone should always be getting a message when their snippet or tutorial is disapproved. Regardless of the reason for it being disapproved.
Even when someone submits a duplicate entry, by mistake, a message should be sent mentioning the reason behind its removal from the queue.

Absolute beginner will understand Ruby code, because it's human readable domain-specific programming language and this is part of it's beauty.
And there's no such thing as setting compiler, just installation

Well there we go then, it's settled. I might even learn something along the way
@MitkOK:
I don't know if you already do, but it would help me to test them if you include an example usage.

Very nice, almost two months and the Python snippet buried, although the same snippet in PHP and Ruby - approved.

@MitOK: I just looked at the snippets awaiting approval and not a single one has your name on it. Which snippet are you saying got "buried"?

It has been disapproved by someone, I don't remember back in the time to who I sent PM, but didn't get any answer.
