I'd check the BIOS, and also i'd check that you didnt just jarr something... pull the thing apart and check everything. I'd start it with no battery and no hdd. Run an external monitor and keyboard to be sure. after that, i'm lost. I work on alienwares. they're made for ease of repair.

From what little googling I did, the cipher.exe command you ran, and the problems you're having now with your computer not booting are unrelated. Googling for problems with cipher leads to nothing about deleted data, aside from files already erased. Like the others have said, it sounds to me like a motherboard/BIOS problem. I'd contact Dell.

Well my only assumption at this point is that its my motherboard. From talking to individuals at work thats where we are lead. The fact that I am not getting any error beeps from the motherboard help me think this. I have unhooked the hard-drive and the memory sticks and no error. Among other things while loading it up. Would you guys consider this valid?
