I have heard of screen flickers in vista... but I'm not sure if it is the same problem I'm having.
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 216BW monitor. Yesterday I got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium already on it. (Before that I had a laptop running XP and the monitor was fine.) When I connect the monitor to my new computer, I have these "dancing lines" (haha, don't know what else to call them). They are not on the screen of the laptop though. From what I've read about people having screen flickers it is something where the screen cuts in and out. This is not what mine is doing. Mine is constantly having lines flashing brighter and dimmer dancing around the screen. I have installed the drivers for the monitor twice and that didn't help. There are two drivers for the monitor (digital and analog) and I have installed both. (They said vista compatible.) My monitor is only a couple months old, so I wouldn't think it is going bad. At least I'd hope not. If anyone has any suggestions, can help me, or point me to somewhere that can I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry if people have already asked this question.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to adjust your monitor's image settings? I was having a similar problem a few months ago on my XP computer. I adjusted one of my monitor's settings called Phase, and that seemed to fix it.
