Welp, I dunno how I got here, although it wasn't long ago. I had a question of some sort.

I don't really care how the hell I got here. Although I know that the JCreator forums kinda suck. You had to wait about a day or more on average for an answer. And sometimes it wasn't what you were looking for.

I don't care how I got here, because I've had so many good experiences in the past months that I have been here, that it's all just fuzzy.

Anyway, if it ever went under, I'd probably end up putting a gun to Jesus' head to get it back with gabehabe too.

I came here looking for help with a syntax error in c++ I believe. I stayed due to the hilarity from ellidkram at the time, always wanted to know what he would say next. Since his departure, it hasn't been nearly as fun. If DIC were to disappear, I would have to find another site to hang out on while at work.

For me, I was very specific in my search. I actually searched the class name that I was taking, and sure enough, there was someone that had posted the exact assignment, so I stayed. Since then, I have come to love it here, and if I can, I only search here for answers to issues. Of course, right now my classes are easy enough for me to code on my own, but if DIC ever went off line, I guess I would have to try elsewhere for help.

I came from programmingforums, which has really slowed down in activity after it was sold out to danisworld. skyhawk mentioned the community here, so now this is my main programming community I visit, aside from perlmonks since there is a serious shortage of perl discussions around here. It seems like this community is pretty heavy on the .net side of things which is something I haven't touched (or plan on touching).

heh that's funny I had a simple javascript question and sloth told me to learn dom and some other shit, being a smartass, he later became one of my fav ppl on here, I like DIC cause you always get a response and this is where you can the most hard core programmers. The main guys are all very very clever and know their shit!
