I think it would be easier to have the reply box underneeth the last post within the thread and a submit button right there.

Theres no point to dedicate a whole page to 'reply' when it can easily be more compact, underneeth

or u could have a "quick reply" at the bottom, where u just get a basic text area and submit button without all the extra stuff (emoticons etc )

and then if someone requires the use of "code buttons" or emoticons then they click the normal reply button to go to the reply page.

I think we had something like that when we first installed this forum system... it's not difficult to do.. there is a hack some place, maybe sloth has it laying around?!

cause monsters was the only one around when we were beta testing ibf and making our skin, and it sucked monkey nuts.

sounds like a good idea. i know somethingleet.com has it, its a nice feature.

pMachine has something that does it...but i would say a quick reply box at the bottom and then have all of the formating links at something like this page right now.
