capty99 can you make a tutorial with that, esp. making a cloudy effects manipulating different colors? that's awesome.

dude.... i posted a long response about this. crap.
like i said before i got the idea from a tute, and mine actually comes out looking quite a bit like the tute i looked at but my method starts with less.
they used a pic to create the basic horizon + sky.
for me I just drew the horizon and threw some brushes on there, and dropped a gradient in as the sky. there weren't any pictures used on here except for the moon.
then you just play with some layers to achieve the right colors which is the most important part of this one. i suggest you do it my way and start from scratch, the tutorial isn't all that inventive or creative.

let me know if you have questions though

this is my 3rd try at posting this so sorry for the wait.
As stated above, my design was inspired by a tutorial. Unlike the tutorial though I did most everything from scratch except for the moon.
The tute uses an image to generate both the horizon and the sky, i think thats a little lazy so i built the horizon with just some drawing tools and a bunch of brushes. Then the sky itself is just a gradient.
If you run through this tutorial, you can get some tips on the rest of it :
I didn't follow most of it, but it has a few tips on how to re-create lighting etc... I really would suggest you do it like me, otherwise it seems too simple, this also allows you to compose it better... like the image i placed in the foreground to give it more depth.
Let me know if you have any other questions after looking at this and I'll help you out.

Just quoting Capty to see if he is truly crazy. I do believe he has lost all his marbles.

It's very nice. Such good colors. Did you make the brushes as well, if not, where did you get them from?
