i just got a buslink usb 2.0 hard drive for christmas. i have it installed and it's working, the problem is is that it's not optimized for speed. a screen came up when windows finds new hardware and it had a location (cd-rom that came with hd), that was going to allow me to install usb 2.0. however, i closed that screen and now i can't find it. i installed the mass storage disc, but that didn't do anything. so it's not going as fast as it can (i'm usb 1.1).
do i need to buy something extra to make it usb 2.0?
help!
my new hard drivenot going as fast as supposed to

You can't setup USB2.
You need USB2.0 ports.
My mobo and it's router are all USB1.1.
I went out and pitched in the $30 to get a 4-port USB2 PCI card (BestBuy is where I got mine, I'm sure any tech. store has one).
And I now have 7 useable USB2 ports because I have a 4 port router as well.
(Because I can:)
2 USB1.1 on my mobo
2 USB1.1 on my keyboard
4 USB1.1 on my router
4 USB2 on the PCI card
4 USB2 on the router.
I think I'm ready for the universal USB migration, no?
