How to allow an user to upload files more than 10MB

Posted 16 September 2008 - 10:23 PM

Hi Friends,

I am new to the PHP, can anybody please tell me what I have to do to allow an user to upload files more than 10MB.
I tried changing in the php.ini file following..
upload_maxfile_size=15M
post_max_size=15M
memory_limit=15M
But it didn't work.
I also want to know what is .htaccess file, where is it present.
I am using Apache 2.2.9 & PHP 5.2.6.

Thanks,
Smita

Have you set the maxfilesize in your form?

The php.ini attribute is upload_max_filesize, not upload_maxfile_size.

here is he php.ini code and in the last like in this code you can set the uploading size
if you are not able to do then possible reasons are that
php installation is not correct or corrupted
you need to reinstall that

or you are making mistake somewhere in the code

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; File Uploads ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

; Whether to allow HTTP file uploads.
file_uploads = On

; Temporary directory for HTTP uploaded files (will use system default if not
; specified).
;upload_tmp_dir =

; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
upload_max_filesize = 2M

have you tried not using shorthand notation and measuring it in bytes instead?
