what sort of video player do you use?
Posted 23 September 2008 - 02:37 AM
i've got realplayer set as default but i'm really getting bleak with it because it doesn't play half the stuff i have. VLC plays everything including fragmented clips but i really really dislike the track bar that it uses, that default jump that they put in just irritates me. So what does DIC use?

I use VLC on my laptop, & I have an older version of mplayer on my desktop.
Both are running Linux.

VLC for vids and the odd mp3 then winamp if I'm going for a long coding session at the pc - the library management is unrivalled and I love the custom global hotkeys

i'm sorry you said realplayer. how many times a day do you try to kill yourself?
windows media player is decent for the randoms,
zune player for the podcasts,
nero showtime for dvd's, (it handles menus the best)
and vlc for everything else.

vlc, but their new version has been annoying the fuck out of me because when in full screen mode the control panel keeps flickering on and off when it should just stay the fuck off.

you know when you click on the slider bar it doesn't jump to exactly where the mouse is, it has like it's own "tab space" sorta thing
