longhorn is the "completely revolutionary" new windows os set to come out way way late 03 or early 04 if my memory serves me correct. that was a while back i heard that info though..

on a side note completely irrelevant, someone on dic posted screenshots of longhorn or what they were supposed to look like... if u look, its the exact thing as xp with photoshop changes... these claims are always false and i dont know why people continue to believe them. do u not understand how heavy the security is that microsoft has set up. there are no leaks.

well... if you know anything about build numbers... you could possible assume that the internet hasn't seen a "leaked" copy of longhorn in 325 builds. and for those of you not in the know (all 2 of you it seems) a build is incrementally numbered every time the source code is compiled for distro. if you want a peek into how a build becomes gold (read: sold) hop over to winsupersite.com and read the article on Server2k3... paul goes over the process. and everyone is right about wasting time. an alpha build or even a beta build is pretty worthless unless you're: 1. THAT geeky that you need to look at everything coming out of redmond to give it your personal "OK" or 2. you're a real tester for M$ and are providing them real feedback. we can all quickly assume you're not the latter as you'd have this build on CD and be quite pissed that some idiot leaked a copy to the world. posting your own screenshots would be more productive than just telling everyone on a public site that you have it and are prepared to launch... good luck with you "test" though. and don't forget to post some screens. some with a <dic> page up on this thread might be nice so we can think it "authentic". of course that post might go better in the desktop screens thread in the lounge...

That's got to be the most fucking UGLY os I have ever seen in my entire life. Seriously. I'd rather use a CLI then have to use that!

can it get any uglier? i mean XP is nice for me, but holy fcuknig crap dude, my god i'd use Windows 3.1 for workgroups before i'd ever use that. I think this is a step in the opposite direction as far as O/S's go. And WTFH is with all that BLUE!!!
