Webmail

Posted 12 March 2003 - 06:57 PM

im lookin for a good webmail solution, hopefully open source and either php or perl. now i would like to know if anybody has any suggestions for this, ive been lookin at open webmail, @mail, and squirrel. but the problem with squirrel is that its mainly imap support, and im running pop3 with an sql authentication. and the main thing with @mail is its crazy prices. thanks in advanced for the help.

I use Squirrel Mail for the DreamStudios servers. Why not enable IMAP?

wooooooow .. lol

everybody has told me why not enable imap and use squirrel, i dunno, im not a big fan of imap, i prefer pop3. plus im already running pop3 and its a pain in the ass as well as unpractical to go to all the clients and tell them to change their outlook or email client settings from pop3 to imap. so yea, im just gonna look for a pop3 webmail client. so far my best bet is on open webmail, but i would really appreciate some input here. thanks all.

You can run POP3 and IMAP at the same time, I use POP3 for my outlook email and IMAP for my Squirrel Mail.
