Compile and Run Program in UNIX?

Post icon  Posted 22 October 2008 - 08:26 AM

I'm trying to run a C program through UNIX. For our class, we use PUTTY(if anyone knows what that is). I have to create a directory called assignment_5(Already did), and save all program files to it(I did I think). Had to save the file as 'score.c' Now when I do 'ls' to show files in my 'assignment_5' directory, it shows me 'score.c'. I tried running it doing 'cc score.c' and it says:

score.c:1: iostream: No such file or directory

I did the same thing trying 'gcc score.c' and it says the same thing:

score.c:1: iostream: No such file or directory

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

iostream and C? Perhaps you're looking for C++? Try this link: http://www.network-t...ccintro_54.html
