My opinion...[marching] band is awesome. Anyone that disagrees...fuck off. Don't rag on us because we like something you don't. I've heard too many insults on band geeks. Most of the jackasses that insult people couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. I get very frustrated with these pricks very quickly.

To quote Albus Dumbledore...

"Ah music, a magic far greater than anything we do here..."

@Locke37 - there are two things wrong with that post.

1. You fucking quoted Harry Potter WTF!

2. Marching band is not awesome.

Einstein himself says that the reason he was so smart is because he played the violin. He loved the music of Mozart and Bach the most. A friend of Einstein, G.J. Withrow, said that the way Einstein figured out his problems and equations was by improvising on the violin.

Yeah well um, I am not a kid... I live in Capital City, Ohio. I would love to meet Harry Potter so I could punch him straight in his suck hole.

Daniel Radcliffe...

I can't help but think his acting career is forever ruined because he will always be known as Harry Potter.

Why is it that 95% of those faces look superimposed onto that image?

You can provide a child of yours or someone else with the gift of music without having to send them off to band orgy camp, it's called prodigal learning and sometimes you go to a normal, regular, professional music teacher like I used to for piano.

But some people prefer the orgies at the camp, if it's lack of dignity you're after. Honestly, I have no idea what strange world you went to for band camp, but all the ones I've heard of were just ordinary band camps.

Ok...

I didn't quote Harry Potter just to quote it. I quoted it because it applies here.

Music is a truly amazing art. Think of how the world would be different without it...

And if Marching Band sucks...then you just had a really sucky band. Because I like mine. Any band worth their salt has just as much fun as they do work. For instance, we just put our 3rd (and biggest) show on the field in less than a week. Sounds like a lot of work (or some prick could say, "it's a really short show"...it's not), right? It was a lot of work. But, we had several TIMES as much fun. Marching band is the reason Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are my favorite days of the week. It's what keeps me going in college.
