xbox 360 networking

Do I have to use a xbox 360 networking adapter or can I use another type?

You can use any device that you can interface with the xbox 360, to place it on your network.

Just to note, they tend to have issues with the Linksys NAT

I've got my 360 using static addressing and I've got the Xbox Live ports forwarded on my WRT-110 router. Which makes it work.
