			<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" height="400" width="424" >
						<?
							$count = 0;
							for($i = 0; $i < (sizeof($dir_array)/3); $i++) {
								echo '<tr>';
								for($j = 0; $j < 3; $j++) {
									echo '<td width="131" height="87" align="center" style="padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px;">';
									echo '<a href="'.$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'].'?user_id='.$_GET['user_id'].'&pic='.$dir_array[$count].'"><img src="'.$dir.'/thumbnails/'.$dir_array[$count].'" vspace="0" '.getimagesize($dir.'/thumbnails/'.$dir_array[$count]).'height="87" ></a>';

I'm unsure that overflow works on a table. Why don't you try encasing it within a div?

Sadly it doesn't tables are "smart" enough to strecth as long as they don't have anything restricting their gorwing abilities, which isn't ideal.
