Stupid People

Posted 12 November 2008 - 11:17 AM

Maybe its just me but I am just amazed at the stupid shit people do day in and day out. I am always telling my friends and family about the stupid shit I see everyday, now they are starting to call me with things that they see.

The purpose of this is to have a place to come and share your story when you want to tell people but your not sure just who to tell.

I'll start with some three things I have seen in the past 24 hours.

1. Coming home last NIGHT I came across a women riding a bike with no reflectors, no flash light, not bright colors, nothing to make her stand out. Other then the fact that she was in the middle of the road and thats not all. She had a dog with her on a leash, attached to her handle bars, running beside her. I was at a crawl about 25 feet behind them when the dog noticed my car and got scared, turned to run and ripped the bike over and the women went flying.

WTF were you thinking lady?

2. While at Verizon today on my lunch a man comes in and this is how the contestation takes place with the sales associate.

Guy : Yea I need one of those things you plug into the wall that makes your phone work
Sales Rep : You mean a phone charger
Guy : Yea Yea thats it I need one of them
Sales Rep: No problem sir, what kind of phone do you have
Guy: I have no idea I dont own a phone. Its for my wives phone
Sales Rep: Ok so you dont know what kind of phone it is?
Guy : No why should I
Sales Rep : Ok well whats you last name so I can look you up to see what kind of phone she has
Guy : Youre not going to find us in that machine, we dont have Verizon

3. After the verizon store I come back to work to make my lunch and I cant because a women put her lunch in the microwave with about 5 napkins set the microwave to 6 minutes and left. Needless to say our microwave is a nice charcoal black color now and doesnt work.

Oh and not only did she put napkins in there, but her lunch was on a paper plate as well.

Share you stories please :D

I ran over a hispanic guy on a bike once in Mannassas VA. He had no reflectors, crossed outside of the crosswalk, on an open road in the middle of the night. No kidding. Right out in front of me!! He had both legs broke, his arm, two ribs, 4 fingers I think, and a punctured lung. What a total idiot!! I felt horrible and thought he was going to die right there in front of my car. He couldnt speak any English and I didnt know Spanish!! He kept talking to me about something or another the whole time I waited for an ambulance. I kept thinking that I wouldn't be able to tell anyone what his last words were! Awful night!

They actually didnt even give me a ticket! The guy came across the road 30' above the crosswalk in the dark without any type of lights. He was drunk too which helped my case :P

Usually at least once a day:

Me: How can I help you?
ID10T: There isn't any water pressure coming through the product.
Me: Did you remove the stickers?
ID10T: I didn't know those needed to be removed. Ok, it's working now.

I need to preface this with the writer is a very nice person, and I am guessing spell check went awry.

A quick one I saw in an email last night from one of the support staffers "That may have just been a cliché in the system last night.".

when people send spam mail and me dad tears t up and sends it back in the free post and then 1 week later we receive the same letter from the same company, maybe a mistake, so we tear it up and send it back with a note saying we do not want any of your stuff

1 week later we get a third and my dad was laugihng and my mum was fuming :S

Try wrapping a brick in brown paper and a tape the free post envelope on top.
Or
Return one company's spam in the anothers free post envelope and drop them back in the box.

I get very little of it now. strangely

Try taking the paid postage envelope and putting a bunch of pennies in it, so they have to pay more to receive an envelope full of change. I'll bet they quit sending you stuff after that.

Or just fill it with sand and save your pennies.

I wonder how many postage workers have had to deliver envelopes full of pennies and sand?

The funny thing about pennies though is you can complain about it and make them send you a check for the money you sent them. Only do that if you're bored, though.

This stuff really works, too, I've actually seen someone do it. It's hilarious.

Here’s another one for ya.

There were some people at work talking about smoking. One of the people at my work says the following:

“Every time I smoke I have to use my inhaler before I have a cigarette. I have horrible asthma”
