Friends:
First of all congratulations on an excellent forum. I have two simple suggestions:
Perhaps you might encourage posters to run their posts through a word processor with spelling correction prior to posting. Many posts are spoiled by careless spelling, and now a days getting the text out right is not so difficult.
The administrators should not assume that all posts are from students seeking help. Commenting that policy requires a show of good faith posting of code is a bit much in my opinion. You can still point the poster in the right direction without giving up the answer. Many coders such as myself are not students. I frequently search the forum for insight, only to find that policy did not permit displaying a solution.
Please keep up the good work!

I think you misunderstand the intent of the "we won't do the homework for you" bit. We are not always talking about actual homework of students. We are saying that if you need help with code, show us what you are doing first. Too often we get people on here "begging for code". It isn't much to ask to show us the problem lines that are being talked about. Often times we catch not only the error in question, but several other errors that would eliminate countless nights of aggravating problems.
As for the spell checking, most modern browsers now provide spell correction on the fly. Firefox is one of them but other browsers do too. The fact remains that posters on any forum have misspellings that they simply do not care to correct. It would be nice if people could spell correctly most of the time, but in the world of ebonics and a growing internet culture raised on LOL, ROFLMAO, WTF and BRB you can't expect them to spell much anymore.
We often get professionals misspelling more than students. It's just one of those things.
But either way, thanks for the feedback! I am sure Chris and his team will take it into account when they remake part of the site coming up in the next few weeks.

If i could add on to what Martyr pointed out. One could say:
"I need help sorting an array".
Well there are many many ways to do that so without seeing what they are doing, what they hope to achieve, specifically. It's a shot in the dark.
I love Firefox's spell checking. I use it all the time.
