How do you get a background to span across two monitors in Windows? Or have a different BG on each monitor?

Put two Video Cards into your PC, then hookup a monitor to each 
The one time that I did this, the settings were in the driver. There was an option to span one image across both.

I have a dual head SLI video card. geforce 9800 gt
I haven't looked at the included software though. I'll do that when I get home.

if your video card doesn't do it natively you can do it with ultramon.
