Tutorial Acceptance

Posted 08 December 2008 - 08:58 PM

I'm not putting anyone down or questioning any moderator's ability, but this was approved?

...

I'm working on what I think are quality ideas and submissions and stuff like this is getting passed through. GOTO for a navigation tutorial....ugh.

Its not all bad this is quality.

I agree that's not the quality we are looking for. I've removed it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

We are indeed striving for a higher level of quality here at DIC and have been more strict recently.

I have a question about approvals... do we get a message notifying us if our tutorials are approved/declined, or do we have to just give up after not seeing it for a while?

A message goes out notifying a decline. Usually you will be told how it can be improved to be accepted, or an explanation as to why it was in fact declined. You'll notice the kudos increase (within an hour or two) when they are accepted.

& we kill a kitten everytime someone asks if it's been looked at yet. Well, that isn't D.I.C. policy, just something that I started up. It isn't going over very well.

You might have to kill 4 kittens, cause I was wondering about the 4 tutorials I posted in the new ASP .NET tutorial forum...

They've made it to the approval queue.
I'm not much of an ASP.NET expert, so you'll have to wait a while until a Team Member who is familiar with ASP.NET reads it.
Have patience. :)
