The power surge that blew out your PSU also killed your video card? Or your motherboard? (Although your PSU *should* power off if the mobo is fried.)

Seriously, try unplugging everything, reseating the video card (and the RAM, and any other expansion cards you have..), replugging in the monitor, and trying again.

You really do need a surge protector.

Do you have a seperate video card, or are you connecting to video on the motherboard? If you are using a seperate video card try making pushing it in in case you knocked it lose when changing the PSU. If it still doesn't boot try taking it out and plugging your monitor into your motherboards video connection (if it has one).

If you are already using your motherboards video connection then try a video card if you can get one. If your motherboards onboard video is toast then you need either a new motherboard or a video card. And a surge protector..

plug your monitor into some other computer real quick (just to isolate that, and make absolutely certain that it works. Try with your video cable and with another cable just to make sure the cable isn't damaged).

Try pulling your video card out and switching it into someone elses computer. If you get video with your card and their all the rest of a computer, your video card is fine. If not, you need a new video card.

The onboard video not coming on *could* be because you have a partially fried motherboard, or it could be a BIOS setting... Although *that* should change itself when you pull out your video card and plug the monitor into onboard.

Buy a surge protector to go along with anything else you may need to pick up. $10 is a cheap price to pay compared to a delicate and expensive computer.

Unless the same thing that killed your PSU killed some part of your monitor or mobo. Or the VGA cable you've got has been damaged somehow. And it won't always show on the outside of the cable.

Assuming that you mean the 2nd one (P4 ATX) in this photo :

You need to get a power supply with this adapter, if your mother board requires it.

Or you could getvyouself something like this adapter.

this would have been better of in the computer support forum.

A. You might want to check what forum this is in.. It *is* in Computer Support.

B. We already figured out that his power supply does not have the correct pin-out for his motherboard. :)

BIOS died. Need a replacement 90% of 100%. Did you fiddle with BIOS settings in last couple of days, Rickster090?
