I just bought Enter the Matrix, and I'm having problems installing it. The first time I went to install, and it locks up during the 2nd cd, so I have to restart. I try to install the 2nd time, I get to the 2nd install cd, and I get a drive volume error... saying something along the lines of 'c:/ drive has the wrong volume label. Third time i get a big further, get the error again, so I have to restart the process again, and that goes on for a few more times.
Eventually I get through installing, and I start the registration, and I get the volume message again. Since the install basically finished, I try playing it, and a popup message says "Fullscreen Mode Not Found". So I try installing again. This time i get to the end of the install process, and my computer randomly restarts. I go to play it again, and I get the "Fullscreen" message once again.
So I try to run setup again, and the install shield popups asking if I want to remove all the components, so I do, and try to run setup again. Yet again it pops up asking if I want to remove, and yet again I remove it. To see if it removed, I go into my program files and try to run the program, and I get the "Fullscreen Mode not found" message again.
After trying futilely to remove it several more times, I just go into my computer and delete the damn files. I go to fun setup again, and it asks me again if I want to uninstall it. This is really pissing me off. If anyone has any idea as to whats going on, I would really appreciate any help you could provide me with. If I'm not being clear in any aspects, just let me know, and I'll rephrase. Thanks a lot.

Yea, I'm gonna take it back, and if doesn't work, I may just nuke my hard drive, and try installing again.

Not really.. I have all of the requirements minus the video card, and I'll just turn down the settings for that. Even if my card didn't meet, it should at least start up and look crappy, right?
Well I switched it out for another copy, and installed it all, and I'm still getting that "Fullscreen Mode not found" popup message... guess i'll be calling tech support tomorrow.

check to see that you have the latest drivers for your card, the windows xp drivers will not cut it for most newer games.

If you have a Older Video card, IT may not be Direct X 8.0 or 9 ? compatable, windows xp can install and not install the newest direct x , i run XP on my 600 mhz file server and it has a VooDoo 5 , that does not support direct x 8 or 9 so the newest games will install but wont even start , so if your card is not compatable with the new direct X everything could install ok but the game wont run.

yea, I just downloaded drivers for it not to long ago... I guess I'll have to check to see if its compatable with the new direct x... if not, then I guess I'll be buying a new video card.
