MyCode

Posted 29 December 2008 - 03:55 PM

hi everyone, 3 weeks ago, i stumbled apon dreamincode and i saw snippet manager, by gabehabe, that inspired me to begin writting mycode..... after that, i paused development, and begain hanging out more of my 360, playing halo 3 and call of duty and then one day....i found CodeLibrary, another application, by Core.
Now im working on it some more.
MyCode is a snippet manager that currently supports C# and VB.NET as languages.
MyCode isn't just a ordinary snippet manager, its has some extra features like burning snippets to cds, syntaxhighlighting, sending reports directly to me, and possibley "Downloading snippets from a feed".
the downloading snippets from a feed is 5%, i want it to download snippets from here but, theres not feed. so im stuck. theres a picture below and im planning on making a beta for testing. the syntax highlighter is from a project im in called sunlight.net. its located here.

That looks pretty similar to my early snippet manager. :)

I think this sorta thing is a great project for beginners, and it has the ability to expand as your knowledge grows. Heck, look how mine started out, and now it's had over 500 downloads~!

If you need any help, feel free to ask. I like some of your additional ideas, and one sounds similar to a concept which is still on hold for my snippet manager: Downloading snippets from a feed. Or, in my case, DIC. :)

sending reports directly to me
What kind of reports? Error reports, directly from users?

I usually use my hard drive to manage my snippets.

What language have you programmed it in?
