Having trouble with Sun Studio 12 Download

I was trying to download Sun Studio 12 on fedora 9, and it keeps failing. Does anyone knows why that is?

No, it wasnt that, i should of added more info. I get an error saying that it was already install, but it isnt.

What's the exact error? And what's the name of the file you're downloading?

Actually that wasnt my error, THe error i got was


/tmp/SunStudio12ml-linux-x86-200709-pkg.tar-2.bz2 could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

I dont know how to fix that

Sounds like it didn't finish downloading.
Firefox stores stuff in a temporary directory, and when the download has finished will move the file to your selected download location.
If that's not the problem, then make a folder in your home directory (let's call it SunStudio)
open a terminal and run this command
tar xjf /tmp/SunStudio12ml-linux-x86-200709-pkg.tar-2.bz2 -C ~/SunStudio

Compile it form source.

sun studio isn't open source.
