I thought floating toolbars are there by default, i guess i was wrong, it would be cool if you made a tutorial.

I don't believe floating toolbars are there by default, I may not have played around with the toolstrips enough though. I'll experiment in Visual Studio to see what I can come up with; I will also get those tutorials up sometime this week.

Let's here some input here. The toolbox has two categories:

* Common HTML
* Active HTML

The Common HTML group contains the following controls to easily add to your page:

Button
Reset Button
Submit button
Text Box
File Input Box
Password Box
Checkbox
Radio Button
Hidden Input Field
Form
Textarea
Table
Image
Select Drop Down Box
Horizontal Rule
DIV Container
Label
Inline Frame

And the active HTML group has the following (so far):

Back Button
Forward Button
Print Button
Refresh Button
Web Browser

Is there any controls anyone would like to see added? I would do my best to add any control anyone would like included in the first release.

I will work something out for ASP.NET. I'm not sure what all I'll include, but it will be more than what I initially intended; this is what usually happens.

Development may be postponed due to flooding and illness.

If your going to make it support ASP.NET, you should make it support PHP. PHP would be easier, all you would have to add is syntax coloring. PHP RLZ!

PHP will also be supported. Future plans for PHP support include:

* AutoComplete
* IntelliTips (nobody has seen the screen shots of this in my application, but they are cool)

As for development, no more screen shots will be posted. The IDE has undergone yet another major overhaul, and the "eye-candy" will have to wait untill the release.

EDIT:

Note that "future plans" imply that the features may/may not be included in the first release. As for current future plans, these include:

Project Management:
* Project Management System
* Project Collaboration System
* Project Security System
* Administrator Rights on Projects
SLDL
* AutoComplete
* IntelliTips
* Syntax Highlighting
* Documentation
* SLDL Compiler
PHP
* AutoComplete
* IntelliTips
* Syntax Highlighting
* IDE Interaction
* Reference Section
CSS

XHTML

Javascript, VBScript, etc

THat is a small list of some of the things I want to eventually include in my IDE.

Are you hosting this application in any particular place yet? Your own website? SourceForge.net? CodePlex? Google Code?

Thanks for understanding. I'm working hard to get a release out. And thanks for the tips. You'll be the first to know when the evaluation copy is done.

Cheers,
John

I'm almost done with the first release. I am working on the SLDL HTML Analyzer. It checks for errors and gives a detailed report.

Example:
</html>
</body>

<body>
</head>
</title><title>
<head>

<html>

Produces the following report:
Document contains 9 lines.
Error checking started...
Line: 1
-------------------------
Operators valid.
Line: 2
-------------------------
Operators valid.
Line: 4
-------------------------
Operators valid.
'<body>' is not contained inside the '<html> </html>' tags.
'<body>' tag appears before '<body>' tag.
Line: 5
-------------------------
Operators valid.
Line: 6
-------------------------
Operators valid.
'<title>' is not contained inside the '<head> </head>' tags.
Line: 7
-------------------------
Operators valid.
'<head>' is not contained inside the '<html> </html>' tags.
'<head>' tag appears after '<body>' tag.
Line: 9
-------------------------
Operators valid.
Error checking complete.
9 lines checked. 1 errors, 4 warnings were discovered.

The SLDL HTML Analyzer also works around comments.
