Which is why you should follow the instructions on the link I gave you to ensure a flawless install.
http://www.ubuntu.co...ubuntu/download
just make sure you read the instructions on the page. It is important you do this stuff properly, remember this is different than Windows - so if your expectations are point, click install everything. You are in for a suprise. Once you get a feel for Ubuntu you will be introduced to a lot more freedom.

1st things 1st - you are not going to be able to run this from your computer. An ISO file is a disk image. You need to burn this file to a disk.
then make sure you follow the directions from the link explicitly - cause if you don't you are liable to overwrite your OS. It is simple to follow and real easy to setup.
The ubuntu forums offer a great support base. You will most likely have some issues once setup - if that is the case make sure you are prepared. - the issues usually just require a little extra tweaking that's all.
I really hope you are prepared for what you are getting into.

The only way you are going to screw it up is if you don't follow the directions that Ubuntu provided for their product.
The moment you think you know what you are doing, going out on your own away from the directions, & then have to post the solution here & wait for a response, you risk failure.
Read over the directions, then follow the directions & feel free to ask any question before continuing.
