hehe..i actually tried downloading a similar software against him, but it was blocked by my AV. so just uninstalled it.
i dont know his IP address but he lives somewhere in the 10km radius of my house and uses another service provider and i use a desktop comp.
And im sure that i havent been careless enough to type my password in fron of anyone!
the thing is, i was chattin with my friend on yahoo and the next instant, he was like "aren't you chatting with her?" i asked him how he knew and he sent the whole conversation to me!!! he had also been online while i was chatting..
so what is it that i should do now???

would he be able to packet sniff your other friend's connection? (I assume yahoo sends messages in plain text).

any chance the two of them are just screwing with you?
... we pulled this stunt with my friend. you just get the other person to send u the chat log nd then u can scare the shit outa ppl :P

if theres no way that tht is possible then download pidgen (another IM), it works with the Yahoo protocol and will work just as well. This will let you know if his "attack" is specific to Yahoo or if he has access to all outgoing connections.

The next step would be 2 change the ARP entry for your default gateway to static
ie: if the IP is 10.0.0.1 and the MAC is 00:1D:1G:A9:C5:C5 you could create a static entry like this
arp -s 10.0.0.1 00:1D:1G:A9:C5:C5
if your on vista nd it doesnt work check this http://fahimilyas.bl...in-windows.html

if you want the ip of ur default gateway type: ipconfig
to find the MAC type arp -a and copy down the MAC address for the IP you just found

adding a static ARP entry for ur default gateway makes it quite a bit harder for some1 to perform a MITM attack on ur computer.
