Virtual NAT/Proxy Server

Posted 23 January 2009 - 02:22 PM

Is there a way to route the traffic on a particular port on my laptop to a port on another computer on my local network...

Here is the situation: I have a VM running on my home server. I would like a to let someone from work access that VM -- But I DON'T want to open the ports up to the entire internet.

Now his computer and my computer share a VPN and using this he can access ports on my laptop -- but not my home computer which is not on the VPN. So I would like to act like a NAT and allow him to (for example) SSH to my IP but get the VM rather than my laptop (which does not have SSH open anyway).

Is there an solution?

If the VM were running on my computer I would just use VMWare's NAT.... maybe that will work with the local network as well... ummmm....

:edit: -- Nope VMWare's Nat did not work. It did open the port for listening, but did not route it -- makes sence really since it is routing traffic to the virtual network card not the physical LAN.

Well I found a program named KomodiaRelay that will work for 1 port at a time. What would be nice is a more general program.
