When you hit the site after receiving a new PM, the assistant pops up to tell you about it. In the case of someone thanking you it provides a link to the topic in question. When you close the assistant or click the link to see the topic your 'my profile' button remains flashing to indicate new content.

Would it be possible to have some extra functionality in the assistant, to delete messages or mark them as read, so that you don't have to go into your PM manager after you've already read the message? Or maybe just mark messages as read automatically if you interact with the assistant?
