i was thinking about a concept and was wondering if it's all possible her it is:
i was thinking about modifying the windows kernel and then setting aside 2gb of harddrive space for virtual memory the system resources will store it's files the and then load an anti-virus software in the virtual memory and ultimately system will run faster and be more secrue.
i want to know if all this is possible

How are you going to modify the Windows Kernel?

You do know the system software and your antivirus are loaded into RAM, which is many many times faster than putting it into virtual memory on your hard drive?

Are you talking about ReactOS or something? Do you have the Windows source code?

Modifying the Windows kernel is not possible without the source code.

Everything must execute in memory. Therefor the more programs that you have running, the less system resources that are available. Once all of the memory is in use, Windows starts to use Virtual Memory, or swap space, & that when it REALLY starts to get slow.
So rather than upgrading the memory, the best way to improve system performance is to only boot with the bare minimum programs running. No Instant Messengers, no weather bug, HP update, all those useless utilities eat up resources.
& by not running, that doesn't mean minimized, or in the toolbar. They are still running if they are down there.
Click on start, select run & type in taskmgr & see what all is running on your system. Google the process names to find out what they are & how to eliminate the garbage ones from running at startup.

That's one thing that you do want to keep running. If your antivirus is taking up too much memory, there are probably options that you can get that have less overhead.
